It is your wedding anniversary --
A time to celebrate and to recall
The many milestones of your lives, and all
That forms and fills your common memory.
But more than milestones are the everyday Occurrences that must be held most dear:
The easy smile, the sympathetic ear,
The countless little things you do and say.
For what is marriage, if it is not this:
A love letter, composed of joy and tears,
That's written on the heart through the years, Signed "Ever Yours" and sealed with a kiss.
If skeptics claim that love cannot be true,
It is because they have never known you.
