My Christmas Dream

If you could
spend Christmastime with me,
I'd rent us a place
by the sand and the sea.
Faraway where the sun still shines
at this time of year,
To bring the greatest kind of warmth
of holiday cheer.



We'd build a pretty sandcastle,
just you and I,
And watch the graceful gulls
soar through the clear, blue sky.
We would listen to
the sound of music from a conch shell,
Whose melody is better
than any chimes or holiday bell.



We'd take a walk near the ole' yule-tide,
With conversations of our best
memories to share.
Our worries will cease
without even a care,
And yes, Saint Nick will even be there!



And when the sun
begins to set,
And the end of the day
begins to dawn,
We'll think all about our newly
discovered Christmas trend
Today may be over,
but it will never truly end!



Because dearest friend,
my gift unto thee,
Is this very Christmas
dream poem that I send.
