AN Angel Without Wings
She's lost beyond recovery
Torn away from life's thrill
Tossed out in the cold to handle things on her own
A forgotten angel fighting the winters chill.
Never accepts the kind hand of a stranger
She can't bring herself to trust
Trying to shut out the world and go on
Stumbling through the world, peering through the dust.
She's an angel without hope
Has chosen to throw away everything life brings
She's an angel lost in a world without faith
And an angel without wings.
She's afraid to open up her heart
Banished for her lack of showing she can care
An angel God gave a second chance to
But she deceived him beyond repair.
